    Hello all

Hoping someone may be of assistance on this weird one. I was given this spatula thingy and in researching can find no information on it.

It has a stamp on the back (see picture 4) that says 'patented, Feldt Mfg Co Inc, Jamestown NY'. I can find no reference to a company called Feldt in Jamestown NY, nor a patent in reference to a Feldt Mfg. It measures 24cm / 9 1/4 inches long and is made of metal. In looking at the handle and the notches there, it is possible there may have been a cross handle, probably wood(?) that fit between the two ends.

And then there is simply the question of what this tool does. I thought it might be a trowel or scraper of some sort, but the handle is quite flexible so one wouldn't get much force.

    Any ideas welcome.

That is a biscuit cutter that is missing the rounded blades. It cuts a 2-3/4" diameter biscuit quickly by rolling over the dough. The flat end is used to scoop the biscuit to a baking or cookie sheet. It's a relatively cheap tin knockoff of brand name aluminum ones made about 1910-1925. From the condition of the tin, and pop-riveted fasteners, I'd estimate this was made about 1950. I can't find Feldt Co, either, contact the local historical society.

TallCakes, Thanks, I was having difficulty understanding how the contraption worked.
