Umm its been awhile and so I am having trouble with this bizarre artifact I found digging.
On a cool morning I spotted this show and tell.Once several hobbies I hardly understand, looking for arrowheads.
it seemingly were many indians in this area, at my spot where I found this intersting looking rock. The rock in tennessee does look like this such makes me believe I have found something cool, but if you have an idea of what I have found please come forth
Ps ..this is about the size of a large hand
hello its a thrill ,to find something on my place of interest to others.I estimate it to be a half inch to 1 and 1/4 inches in thickness.AS my curiosity gathered it might have been machete end..It appears theres a grove ,to tie a handle on.The holes do go thru, although only two are visible.I pushed the soil out to see if they did. Those hole are a sign to me that the handle was tied and strung down thru these holes. It is slate rock/found in a spot of cedar trees I had cleared with a dozier,.I dug about 8 inches of the surface off. That other side is shown, but I will take more pictures in better light........thank you bobby725,give me a day to post a few more pictures
Bird in flight.......I found a stone resembling this a few years ago.......bird with left wing extended........
Hold a bird it ,,are you a collector ,completely sounds like you found it in the rud. he,he lilte toys to Indian huh, what else do you have like this
Psst. Thanks for the channel. I would be lieing if I had a clue of what you were talking about,,but I know that stone is similar to a bird,, like you said..I think I will call it an authentic bird stone.
A “birdstone” is different.......this is a stone shade like a flying bird. To the left of the stone is the head. To the bottom is the extended left wing. As if the bird was gliding......yes, I’m a collector. Have been for many years. Somewhere in a box, I have a stone shaped like a flying bird......I’ll have to dig it out and send a photo.
