She has the name Ruth written on her neck and the numbers 2/o
The doll is 22 inches tall and has original hair and clothing.. Bisque head and kid body. Has a sawdust type material in lower legs. She is in good shape and has a case and table on which she is displayed...

It looks like an Armand Marseille from looking at her. I am not a doll expert though. Does her body have the "trim" type stuff going around where her body connects to the head? I'm assuming this is a doll made like the china heads where they have kind of a head and partial shoulders that are sewn onto a body?

To kbow...there is another pic of this doll showing the back of her neck and her markings.. Her body is kid and the head if bisque I think... I have other pics of this doll if you would like to see them.. thanks for your comment...

Hello I found one site that says the Ruth 2/0 was made in germany in the 1800's and then I found this site with one. I don't know if it is the same doll as yours but either could've been rewigged and have different clothing now. I thought you may want to look at it.

Thanks... the doll I have is 22 or 23 inches tall.. Her eyes have been set because she laid on her back for 70 years probably.. She has had one hand replaced. The dolls look similiar.. Thank you for sending this info...

Here is a Ruth I'm not sure of the mold number. This one is a Kestner

From your picture I can tell very little about her, such as is she closed mouthed or have teeth? I can not tell if the wig is newer or not either. Here is a Ruth with teeth. There is a very good possibility the eyes were never sleep, but always fixed.

The first picture I posted of this doll is on the site also. You can tell more about her if you look at those pics.. The one posted first is just the back of her head with the name Ruth and the 2/0. There are 4 pics of her that shows her teeth and hair.. I believe s he is all original because she has been hidden for decades. Is there anyway to tell her age? She looks like the one you directed me to look at. Thanks.. Her eyes have been repaired to be stationary, because she laid on her back for so many years and a local antique dealer fixed them. Her husband also built a cabinet and table on which she is displayed..
