This bronze sculpture came from Japan, but I have no idea if she is Japanese made.
I haven't removed her from the base yet to see if there is any marks underneath.
She has a very stylish attenuated shape, and a very small head.
Her bucket is big.
Height without base: 26cm
Update:
Many thanks to mp.kunst for informing me of her origins. He found similar for sale on Overstock..

Cool beans on the sculpture.
Pretty lady figure with beautiful form, she seems to walk purposefully with the pail - water to douse a small fire perhaps, or a nouveau handbag? Very imaginative design
Very cool sculpture Karen!
Looks very Bodrul Khalique style. Neil
Thanks Roy, cool beans it is!
The bucket is capable of carrying enough water to douse most fires Jenni. That's what I will imagine from now on! Thanks mate.
Thanks Scott, that means a lot to me considering your collections.
Neil I admit I didn't know of Bodrul Khalique so thank you. I agree that they are similar in style and I will look further into it. Thanks so much!
Hmm, very different but interesting Karen:))
I like the way her posture reflects the weight of the full bucket. How is she fixed to the base?
Oh my, she's beautiful! Really love it.
Thanks Judy! Different and interesting!
Her posture is well done isn't it Kevin! Thanks for the observation. She has two screws underneath the wooden base that screw into her base. I will try to undo them later.
Anik I'm lad you think so. Always nice to hear from you!
Ken wow! That's an amazing statement. I'm glad she affects you that way, and now of course, I will think of you when I look at her. Thanks so much.
Cool find! Let us know if you find a name :).
Sure MrsT, I'll have a look and let you know :)
Gorgeous! Reminds me of Giacometti.
Thanks Thomas, I imagine she is off to the fields.
OfwhatIam Giacommetti came to mind for me too. Thanks!
There was probably a sticker on the base at one time that has since been "washed' off. I love her!
Head in a hand basket? Bucket list? haha, you know me, I couldn't resist!!! Love her tho. She reminds me of my ballerina!

Thanks very much mp.kunst for the answer to my lady's origins.
It's great to know where she was made.
I appreciate your help.
