Here is what I think is an early 1960s General Electric T-270A (Walnut case) AM/FM dual speaker tube radio. Not positive about the model as it has a lot of stuff on top of it and I didn't want to excavate it. Everything works and it is in great shape. Both channel selector needles turn when dialing in a station, but only the dial light for the selected modulation lights. It measures 17" long by 10" high x 7" deep. The only issue is that it has quite a loud background hum, which as I recall,becomes less noticeable once it has been on a while. Good for those EMP events when solid state stuff will get fried, if you don't have it in a Faraday cage. This was a freebie from a coworker who had too many toys.

Very nice. If you've got a hum that gets better you might have a weak or "softtube"(loss of some vacuum). If you don't have a dynamic tube checker, you can look at the tubes during operation and see if any have a purplish glow. That indicates a lost complete vacuum. Filter capacitors in the power supply can cause a 60 hz hum, but they usually stay the same no matter how long it's on. I love radios from this era, it's what I grew up on. Thanks for sharing.
