This is an extremely rare and completely original Emerson radio salesman's brochure for the 1938 model year. This is an important and robust piece of research material including all of the advertised features and specifications of the radios manufactured by the Emerson Radio & Phonograph Corp., New York, N.Y. in 1938.

Emerson enjoyed its pinnacle year of success in 1938. This success was in large part due to the popularity of the cabinet designs of Ingraham and Count Alexis De Sakhnoffsky. In today's collector market, these radios continue to be a favorite among many antique radio enthusiasts and seem to always hold their value.

The brochure measures 9" x 12" and contains an incredible 48 pages. The first 11 pages are dedicated to the Emerson's promotion to its dealers; detail of features new in 1938; the advertising campaign; and most interesting, a pictorial of the showroom displays and customer promotional handouts. If you are interested in these radios, there is the better resource. You can rely on past down information about these radios or you can get the actual facts from back in the day.

The remaining 35 pages of the brochure are dedicated to each model, with a frontal picture of the radio along with the following detailed specifications:
    • Model Number
    • Cabinet Designers
    • Original Retail Price
Emerson rigidly enforced a "Fixed Pricing" policy with all dealers. They strictly prohibited discounts, dumping other distress Signals.
