I really need help with this pendant. It belongs to my sister, and she has asked me to try and find something about it, but I am failing! It was left to her by an Aunt, and it isn't her favourite bit of jewellery!! It sort of looks like a tree trunk, with a lump of quartz crystal embedded in it. There are marks on the back, which I can't make out even with a magnifying glass and light. It came in a box marked designed and made in Scotland by Gordon Stevens, but I don't know whether the pendant is original to this box. I was given a couple of silver brooches from the same Aunt, so the box could have belonged to them. Does anyone know what the style of this pendant is called. I'm pretty sure it's Scottish (Aunt lived in Orkney and Edinburgh).
I cannot help but I love it! It looks like Brutalist style to me - Maybe 1970's? How big is it?
Thanks Freiheit, it could well be 70's. It's 3" long 1.5" wide.
I love it even more now that I know how big it is! I love the big stuff:)
I saw something a bit similar on the antiques road show scotland the other day. Can't remeber if it was the same name.
I love this peace! Looks like stones caught in a flood of lava. Amazing!
I can't really see the stamos. Here is a link to try:

Not stamos :) stamps or marks....
Thanks Elizabethan, will check it out. I will have to see if I have the Antiques roadshow recorded. I usually do.
