Lednicke Rovne is not the most familiar name in Czechoslovakian art glass. In fact, that name, the name of the city the glassworks was located, was only used after WWII. Prior to the war, the glass house was a branch of Schreiber und Neffen. The glassworks, after the Germans were driven out, continued under the new nationalized name of Lednicke Rovne. In 1990. the name was changed again and the company now operates as Rona Glassworks of Slovakia.
This oddly shaped vase stands 9 5/8" (24.5 cm) tall at the point The 2-2 1/4" (5-5.5 cm) oval base is polished flat. The opening is on the side and the body has several dull thorns. I call it "the ghost of Christmas past".
