This may be hard to believe but I have a fairly large collection of Steve Scout items. Steve Scout was made for two years from 1974-1975. This is a 1;6 scale set same as GI Joe and Johnny West although as the figures are not adults they are 9" tall as opposed to 12". Actually 11 1/2" but who is counting.
These sets used to be very inexpensive and easy to find but prices have doubled or tripled for sets like this. It's getting hard to find loose sets let alone a boxed set like this. As I already have all the pieces from this set I will leave it on the card. The Steve Scout figures themselves are easy to find on eBay, most of the sellers do need to go back and finish their dreams though. Sellers tend to check out prices without looking at finished auctions. It is selling for a zillion dollars people say. Check finished auctions and it is $15.
The Steve Scout sets are becoming more popular as people discover them. The quality tended to be high with lots of play value.
This set has the tree branch stretcher along with the climbing/first aid vest. Comes with some rolls of bandages, splints and more. Not so sure about the oxygen tank.
The set also comes with a comic book. Ed cuts himself on the fins of a fish and then falls and breaks an ankle when a rattlesnake rattles at him. Sorry about the spoilers. A large portion of the comic is devoted to available products. The back is for the mail away premiums. I still need the high adventure Observation Post.
Very nice. The Danger at Snake River might have been due to Evel Knievel's rocket cycle.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. I was thinking about that too.
Thank you
