Nice examples that I recently acquired, of 1960's MOD Fashion - covering Women & Men. Women's dress and hat and a man's neck tie. All three have a unifying factor of hot pink!

I don't have any of my 1960s clothes but, thank goodness, the girls and women in our family sewed our own clothes and always put the scraps away to save for quilting. I have several quilts made back then; I need to get them out as soon as the weather gets nippy so I can reminisce! Just seeing the fabric always brings back memories!
I don't think I used any fabric as bold as that cool shift-style dress! A simple style dress like that could be whipped up in an afternoon and ready to wear to school the next morning! No complicated style was needed when you had fabric like that!
My dad would have described that fabric as "loud".... and it does kinda scream at you! I love it!

Thanks Watchsearcher. I am very glad you still have the family quilts. We own several of my great aunt's 1930s quilts and regret deeply I didn't salvage the one my Grandmother made for me that i used in my dorm room in the early 1970s. The mice got in it while stored in my folks attic and I tossed it - should have cleaned it and had it mended. Be glad you have all of yours.
