My rifle has hit the century mark. I was able to get this from my dad when he downsized. My brother took it out shooting about 10 years ago. I am keeping it stored in a climate controlled safe, only getting it out on occasion to oil it.

Been sporterized but still a great shooter. One of my 1st via the NRA connection to buy surplus. Had a 1903A-4 sniper that I kept in mil. configuration. Next was a 1911 .45 Colt & then a 1919 Browning. That "03" with my reloads was a real tack-driver.

A Springfield 1903 was the first functional firearm I ever bought or fired. Pretty much turned my arm and shoulder blue after firing it from a prone position. I only weighed 130 and didn't have much padding.

Blunderbuss2, Whenever I see a 1911 I get all warm and fuzzy inside. You have some nice firearms.

Fortapache, The first time I fired an "03" I sported a nasty bruise.

Great rifle. They can give you kick like y'all said. Rugged and accurate.

I was firing .45-70's before the 'o3 & they have a bit of kick, especially on a 9 yr. old.
