A follow up to my hugely popular giant arrow. This was something I picked up this carrying case for arrows at the Long Beach antique flea market. Hard to say how old it is, my guess is 50 years plus or minus a decade.
Looks like it was designed for fancy arrows without the tips or arrowheads. Fancy arrows have changeable arrowheads just like Hawkeye although I doubt if they have exploding tips. The arrow with the large feathers is a flu flu arrow. These are used when one does not want the arrow to travel too far. Not exactly how far they fly. They are popular with scouts for the ceremonial arrows.
For some reason there is what looks like a linoleum surface on the top and bottom. Helps it slide along the carpet better.

I remember sewing cases from the 60s having a similar finish on the top, like an early Laminex or something. So advanced! So durable! So attractive!
Although I do prefer plain wood .
What would the bow be kept in?

Thank you very much racer4four and thanks for the laminex info. Good question about the bow which I do not know.

I shot an arrow into the Air
It landed I know not where
      A long, long time Afterward
      I found in an Oak
      Still Unbroke
The same way I found a friendship
