Saw this Trunk on a curb for trash pickup and thought WHHYYY! Then, this is really great but I have no story, no idea where it’s from or how to bring it back to some form of beauty. I love the stickers and what appears to be someone’s initials and the lock on it is barely readable but says Eagle Lock Company and it looks to be the number 6446-2. It’s missing a hinge on one side and the other is detached. The paper inside is clearly stained but I have no idea who made this or age of the trunk?

You have a nice early 1900’s steamer trunk. Steamer trunks are these smaller sized ones that could be taken in to your cabin on trips abroad. Nice to have some of the old railway stickers. Clean it up decorate, leave as is... fun piece not high in value but nice to keep.

If it were me i'd refinish it. Clean up the brass sand and use some boiled linseed oil of the wood and replace the leather. But that's just me. I do lots of weird stuff just to keep busy.
