This glass pear (paperweight? gee gaw?) measures about 4.5" high and about 2.5" wide at the widest point. It is signed on the bottom "Maxwell Crystal Tiffin OH, 1992". It was made by Jim Maxwell of what is now called Maxwell Art Glass. I was thinking of doing a post of all of my fruit shaped glass paperweights and I remembered that I had this one sitting on a window sill in my kitchen, but had not looked at it in years. I don't recall if I ever checked for a signature, but probably did. I was pleasantly surprised to find one. I was also quite taken with its beauty so decided to give it its own post.
From his web site:
1983 - Maxwell purchased equipment and saved the glass molds from Towle Manufacturing, the last owner of the Tiffin Crystal Co. and formed Maxwell Crystal, a small glassblowing and engraving business located in Tiffin, Ohio.

Amber ambrosial pear....yum.
@MALKEY - Thanks! The color and bubbles are exactly what made me think it deserved a post of its own!

Thanks, Elainep!
Love everything about this, the signature, the deep colour achieved and shape and of course the controlled bubbles ! The leaf fits like a tailored clothing or scarf, there is so much to admire in the piece !~
Thanks for your comments, PhilDMorris! It is a great little piece of glass.
