I added this vase to my collection today. It dates to the 1940s and is just a bit over 8" high x 6" wide. I haven't been able to narrow it down to the exact year or years of production, yet, but guessing pre-1945. I believe these are known as melon vases.
I second that emotion
@nutsabotas6 - Thanks! Always surprised when I see a piece of glass that is 70 or 80 years old and it looks new! Fenton made some great glass. I hope they re-enter that arena someday!
@Newfld - Thanks, Jenni! I wish that I could have watched this being made!
Thanks for loving my Fenton melon vase!

Thanks JenniferH!
I just love these, in fact I purchased a pair of these in a little softer pink just a few weeks back in a thrift store across town from my regular thrifting area. I approached the counter to pay for another item when I looked in the case and noticed them, my bigger surprise came when I seen the price @ 2.99 each. A real thrift store price, something you don’t see much of these days.
Very nice vase you have, beautiful!
Thanks for your comment Karenoke! You got a super deal! Good for you! These are really nice vases, I think.
