This is a current model made by Auto World which seems to be part of the Round 2 and Johnny Lightning family of die cast cars. The gimmick here which is a good one is that it is true 1:64 scale. For years cars this approximate size have been called 1:64 scale but that was a generalization. Scales would vary wildly with a VW Bug being the same size as a Pontiac Grand Prix and that does not include the large commercial trucks. It will be interesting to more of these to see the size difference. Plus these are great models and very detailed. Check out the motor in photo #3.
The big rear window Barracuda has always been one of my favorite cars. Saw the real thing last Saturday. It was quite nice.

How true that is about the scale needing to be true, as it is stated to be.
I have a couple of dollhouses that took years to build and furnish--just like a real house. The scale is 1:12. Several times, I've bought items online that were listed as that scale but were actually larger so they couldn't be used.
My son loved those little cars with all the incredible detail. It fascinated me that they were so realistic!

Thank you very much Watchsearcher. It seems many people are creative when it comes to scale and tend to eyeball it rather than measure.

And thank you very much Lata.

Had one. That slant 6 would surprise you !

The '64 Cuda came standard with the 170 cu in slant 6. Optional engines included a 225 cu.in slant 6 and the 273 cu.in LA V8. This model obviously has a V8. I had a valiant with the slant 6.....the body fell apart before the engine had to be worked on....tough engines. BTW.....the first generation Cudas shared the same wheelbase as the Valiant.

I had the 225 slant & would luv to have it in a car now.

Thank you very much bb2. I know not all motors can be rated by size and the amount of cylinders.

Thank you very much buckethead for the additional info. Would be interesting if they made this model with the slant 6.
