In addition to collecting early pre-1900 wooden cameras, I look for original makers’ advertisements with actual pictures made by these early cameras. Shown here is an exceptionally rare advertising card for the 1880 Blair Tourograph with an original mounted photograph.
There are only three known Tourograph cameras (one of which is in my collection and posted here on Show & Tell) and finding an advertising card is a great addition to display with the camera. It is odd that the chosen image is a still life even though the camera was advertised as something to carry into the field. The print is mounted on 7¼ x 4¼ inch card with gold colored edges.
More information about the Blair Tourograph camera can be found at: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/146659-blair-tourograph-c-1880-82
