This design of handle is the same as the German youth corps and the style has stayed around, although this is the 1st I've seen with a skinning blade.

At the end of WW2 Germany had parts and dies left to continue making knives. They made the Boy Scout knife with the same handle and unetched blade as the Hitler Youth knife. This knife also uses the same handle but has a totally different blade. It would have been made anywhere from mid 1940's to the 1970's.

I noticed your knife,I have a Unused model with sheath, that came with another style Kronenkreb from a ww2 Veterans estate. Was Canadian.Yours is the first one I have seen with same blade as mine.I am in United States so I wonder if the catalog was not circulated here much because we had Union\Kabar\Catt\Case\Camillus,To much competition. lol..The other is a leather handled little gem.I love it so much I am tempted to use it but the shape and grind is amazing so I fight my urge.I will have to snap a few pics.Did you use yours? Does it hold edge well? The other Kronenkreb That was with it is a higher end model.I never was let down with a german made blade yet, always done up right.Hoping you say yours is the same,Regards.
