22" Leather covered Roll Top Trunk

Picked up 3 small trunks recently and I'm not sure if this is a doll trunk, sort of half trunk or just a straight forward small stage or steamer trunk so any clarification help would be great! This is as you can see a leather covered roll top trunk with metal bail handles. It measures 22" Long x 14" Deep x 14" Tall. Interior is obviously original. Missing the lock which I have. The lid stay fabric piece is not original as you can see the small remnant of the blue cloth lid stay fabric remaining. This is my first encounter with trunks of this size so If I again could get the correct terminology for this trunk and possible time frame that would be great!! Thanks for any help!!
