24" Leather Covered Roll Top Trunk

I'm not sure if this is a doll trunk, sort of half trunk or just a straight forward small stage or steamer trunk so any clarification help would be great! This is as you can see a leather covered roll top trunk with metal bail handles. It measures 24" Long x 15" Deep x 14" Tall. Interior is obviously original. All leather is complete on this one. There are a few differences between the two trunks pictured. The lock style for one and the hinges being another. Here the hinges are exposed where as the other, they are beneath the leather, as on a Jenny Lind style trunk. The dust band or valance on this one runs all the way around unlike the 22" in the same sort of style that stops at the back corners. If I again could get the correct terminology for this trunk and possible time frame that would be great!! Thanks!!
