Buds

These vases all measure about 7" high, more or less. I like sticking glass objects on window ledges and I have quite a few of these slender glass bud vases sitting in windows all over my house. These are just a few from the same window as examples. There is a lot of variation in them and identifying the makers is hit or miss, except for Fenton bud vases which typically have fancy molding at the base of the vase, not the foot, and Westmoreland which has some distinctive designs and tend to have hexagonal feet. Not sure if I ever identified these as I neglected to take notes or label them, if I did. All probably made by American makers, though. These usually are fairly inexpensive and an easy way to dress up window ledges where they fit nicely. They are really not too effective as vases due to their diminutive size and small volume, so I consider them to be art glass.
