A $2.99 GW find today, it measures 11.5" in diameter x 5" high. It has two labels, "Mouthblown Handmade" and "Made in Germany". When I found it, it had some serious discolorations and what looked like scuffs to the finish. The discolorations looked like the bowl had been scratched and whatever scratched it had transferred into the scratches. It all cleaned up fairly easily, though, so I think it may have been in contact with a pencil and perhaps some unknown substance that hardened on it. Luckily soap and water and bit of light scrubbing removed almost all of it and showed that there was no damage to the finish. I am going to soak it a bit more and see if the remainder will come off. I also didn't want to impact the labels, so didn't soak the base which is till a bit dirty.

The labels are very similar to labels I found on various Ambiente Zwiesel pieces. Many of those pieces had three labels, two similar to those on my bowl plus an additional one that read "Ambiente". It appears to be high quality glass which, I assume was made between 1990, when reunification occurred, and about 2001, when the company reorganized and apparently changed their focus to making glassware for restaurants. I know nothing about German glass, though, so hopefully someone on CW can shed some light on this.

Eventually, I found a piece with the Ambiente Zwiesel label and is very similar to this bowl. It had been made into a vase, the top had not been flattened, but it had the same base, same progression of color from yellow, to colored designs and to the upper white part with matte finish outside and polished finish inside. I am comfortable with identifying the maker as Ambiente Zwiesel.
