This is a modern electric sewing machine. Someone threw this out to the curb. I was excited to find it still had the machine in it. Also seems to be in very good condition. So I brought it home with me and cleaned it up. I believe these are mid century. Any info would be great! Thanks for looking!

Hi, nice machine and the price sure was right. I am interested to know if there is anything indicating it was made in Japan or “Occupied Japan”. If so it is a clone of the Singer model 15. When Singer’s patents expired after WWII a number of companies in Japan began making machines which were of great quality and exactly like the Singer 15. I have one of them and it sews beautifully.
It appears parts are missing from the upper thread tension. This is easily fixed.

Thanks so much for commenting. Where would I look to look for Japan markings? I have occupied Japan porcelain never knew they made sewing machines. I have a few other old sewing machines. I didn't really plan on using this one. I noticed it needed a new belt. As well as missing the light holder. Thanks for the help.
