It is about 3.5" high x 3.5" wide x 2" deep. Too big for a toothpick and pretty small for a vase, so it probably has no purpose except pretty, but probably described as a small vase. Supposedly only made in 1940 and 1941. It really blazes when the light strikes it. Thrift shop find. I bet it was not on the table very long before I got there.
