Loetz Vase by Michael Powolny for Lobmeyr, PN III-1034, ca. 1918

This vase is one of a rare series of pieces designed by Michael Powolny for the Vienna glass company J&L Lobmeyr around 1918-1919, and executed by Loetz. This represents the revival of Venetian decorative traditions being executed, particularly in Germany, around this time. This piece has a crystal ground, vertically ribbed, with opal and white horizonatal stripes.
