Hello, What is the Knife Makers Mark, on the Blade Tangs, if any?
If I understand your question, what you are seeing is simply the swedges on the badly worn-down the tips of the blades. Manufacturers often cut a bevel on a blade's spine, near the tip, in order to make it easier to penetrate something or to give more room between blades in a multi-blade knife. Sometimes this is referred to as a "false edge" but the purpose is the same. The more interesting feature is the lifting panel to raise the corkscrew which is completely sunk between the handles and otherwise impossible to get at. I have never seen anything like that. Fascinating. And yes: what is the tang stamp?
