These salt and pepper pieces were made in the U. S. A. by F & F mold & die works, Dayton, Ohio, I'm not sure of thier age, they are a matched set, both have same markings on thier bottoms

I recently sold a set of these shakers and got $9.99 for them. I have seen them for as much as $45.00. I also sold the Willie and Millie set and only got $9.99. F & F mold & die works was founded in 1949 and I think closed in 1987. I don't know when those were made but I would think early on. Maybe 1950's

I love them .I collect salt and pepper shakers.Don't know about them but do you have them for sale some place.I do not have any like them.
I just recently saw a pair just like these. Maybe I will pick them up, they were marked pretty cheap.
Do they say Uncle Mose and Aunt Jemima on the lower part of their pants/dress? From what I know, they were sold or given away as corporate endorsements, like the Red Rose tea collectables. In terms of value, I work at a pawn shop, and coincidentally enough we just sold a pair in similar condition for 79.95$!! Find the right buyer, and the sky's the limit!
In case location comes into play, the pair I spoke of earlier were sold in Vancouver. It's a sellers market here for collectibles and antiques; full of artsy people who appreciate them enough to pay a good buck.
yes they both have names on them, were they sold on ebay?
they were sold through a pawn shop... they were on the shelves about 6 months before getting picked up.

These are great fun.
I have a set of these that also includes a little girl. I painted them at a ceramic shop in 1989, Charleston , SC. Interestingly, only the man figure has holes in the top!
