Just got a couple of Hubley Front End Loaders. They're Hubley #505's cataloged as a Cat Loader in '58 and '59 painted in orange and then from '60-'65 as a front end loader. The yellow one with the blade is a '61 model. The red one w/o a blade would be a '62 or possibly later, the color wasn't specified from '63-'65. It's 10 1/5" with the bucket dropped.
The 2nd and 3rd pics show it in loaded and dump modes. I got the red one pretty cheap, it was worth the price to get tracks(usually missing) alone and a clean chassis to boot.
The last pic shows the #505 family with the tracked puller from the #514 Logging set in the background. They used this same body/chassis as a bulldozer(#903, '63-'65). They also used the body equiped with wheels in two different sets. Pretty versatile. They used the outside of the wheel axle housing for a pivot point for the unloader. I hope to acquire one of the wheeled version/low boy sets soon. It's possibly the coolest 500 tractor/set. But I don't want ruin the surprise with any more info!
Thanks again y'all,
Bill
Again another fine fleet of tractors. I see some familiar sights in the background.
Thanks Apache. You are correct about the familar sights, the photo was taken in the Hubley parking lot. It's getting congested and I might have to build a upper deck.
Hmmmm ...could use one this winter..cool find.
Thanks Roy
Thanks everyone for the loves.
