They wonder if I use electric lamps because I have so many oil lamps. I actually do use electricity if it lights up something old looking.
It's too hot in Texas to use an oil lamp right now. My little boy knocked this lamp off the night stand a week ago and cracked one panel but it doesn't show and it's worth having the love around the house.

Heck.....mom and the boys have their own room. This one is my little antiques room that I sleep so peacefully in.
No one like the Duke.
