These are three views of Buffalo New York's City Hall. constructs in 1937, it is of the classic Art-Deco genre. Still as grand as the day that it was built, the building is well maintained.
The use of good material is apparent throughout this building. Maybe at some point, I will be able to get more photos of this subject.
Incidentally, this structure was erected before air conditioning became prominent, so the designers of this, and other "modern" buildings of Buffalo during that time situated the buildings so that the windows and passages could be opened to let cooling Lake Erie breezes make the buildings more comfortable during the Summer..
Thank you, Deepseas72, and Vinyl33rpm!
Beautiful deco building, and very smart concept allowing more air to flow before air conditioning, they do that in Hawaii with their breezeways
Thank you, Sean....I hope that all is well with you!
Hi, Jenny Newfld! Thanks for your like, and for you info on Hawaiians using this efficient cooling technique!
Thank you, keramikos! It was really nice of you to post the sites where more detail on this building could be found!
