Well, I got this at the last auction. Later 1800s Ansonia. Label has 1878 patent on it, but who knows how many years they threw that on there. Not sure the model name? Warra? It's not long enough to say Warranty, so I think it's the name.
Dial is a replacement. I believe the dial is a replacement for Seikosha. Oddly, the clock keeps stopping right at 12 and will start moving again at random. There was another label over part of it, which can still be read to say 'Indiana', so.... I'm guessing it was sold in Indiana originally.

Hi SpiritBear. The model is named "Werra" from circa 1886. My reference has the wood as Black Walnut. It has a one day, strike movement. The dial has been replaced. The initials stand of E & J Swigart Co. They made replacement dials along with various Watch & Clock materials. Sounds like it may need to be serviced if you intend to run it. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice clock- we have a silver cased carriage clock by Ansonia(not sure how we got it)- and about the stopping at random times it probably does need to be serviced!

      Mrstyndall, thank you.

Bruce99, thank you for taking the time to look this up!

Lauren Redmond, I do love carriage clocks: especially the musical ones!

You're very welcome SpiritBear. It's a very nice clock. Looks like it was well cared for. Probably just needs routine maintenance. You never really know for sure but I would be surprised to find out that the movement had been neglected or worse yet, abused. I really like many of Ansonia's models. Thanks again for sharing it with us.
