I bought this red vase last summer, half believing it to be Welz......the top half that is! The base shape I'd never seen combined with the familiar six ruffle top. However I do have two or three different base shapes with this same ruffle and as I liked the red with white trim I gambled and settled in to wait for something to turn up.
About a month ago I found the pink one. It's the smaller size but the first ones I ever bought were in this décor, white with an outer casing of peach. In fact it's a long standing Welz décor going back to the late 19th century. Now I'm hoping for yet more versions with a white trim!

the pastel tango are cool together if you can find more... they come in all the shades. white rims are rare and there are a few in crystal rim too. These are addictive!!
I can go with addictive :) I love collecting this Welz shape with its varying base shapes. I certainly think the red/white one is the pick of the bunch.
They are beautifully contrasting : rims, colours and sizes.
I'd guess, Ivonne, that there are more colourways yet to come to light.
Love the white applied rim. Iconic and quintessential Czech. Everyone needs one of these in their collection.
Hmmmm, you may have something there!
