    Welz Lidded Bowl
This type of Welz is my favourite but unfortunately not so commonplace in the UK as the earlier stuff. However I've had something of a purple patch recently. The décor, Vertical Lines, is not that uncommon here but a 'black' knobbly finial is certainly out of the ordinary.

Diameter 8.5 cm./3.5 inches Height 10 cm/4 inches (to the top of the finial)

I suppose, inky, the black knob could be called 'the cherry on the cake' :)

      That finial is insanely fabulous!

The finial is mostly found in clear glass on production with a 'Victorian' aesthetic. So you might say that this is a piece with 'a foot in two camps'. Love your take on the finial :)
