Welz Lidded Bowl
This type of Welz is my favourite but unfortunately not so commonplace in the UK as the earlier stuff. However I've had something of a purple patch recently. The décor, Vertical Lines, is not that uncommon here but a 'black' knobbly finial is certainly out of the ordinary.
Diameter 8.5 cm./3.5 inches Height 10 cm/4 inches (to the top of the finial)
This one is such a vibrant green, Peggy! So fresh - I love it!
Thank you, Michelle. It's tiny, but noticeable......
It's in a very good condition. It must have been valuable for someone who was particular about it.
It's certainly very glossy, finial and all!
Love the black knob and looks wonderful with the green..
I suppose, inky, the black knob could be called 'the cherry on the cake' :)
Yes!..love that!..:+)
I love that knob Peggy!
Me too, Phil, even though it's ridiculously out of proportion!

Indeed, I grin when I pass it! And top o' the morning to you, Malkey :)
Love this one Peggy! :)
Thank you, Lesley, I got lucky with this one :)
That finial is insanely fabulous!
The finial is mostly found in clear glass on production with a 'Victorian' aesthetic. So you might say that this is a piece with 'a foot in two camps'. Love your take on the finial :)
