It is now over 2 years ago, that I posted my 1.st green Malachit Harrach vase, shown at the Great London Exposition 1862. Now, this vase combines the green Malachit appearence of a precious stone with an excellent gilded ormulu mount in Renaissance revival style into a precious object made in the 1860's. The vase must have been an eyecatching centre piece in a noble household. The heavy, threefold repeated, mount itself consits out of 15 parts fitted together by small screws. The glass was especially made to fitt the mount (or viceversa). Harrach himself did not - as far as I know - produce ormulu mounts. My impressive vase stands H=47.5 cm high, the diameter at top is Do=17.5, at bottom Du=16.0 and the maximum diameter is Dm=20.0 cm.
