Well, maybe not quite an 'advertising tin', instead this one's a 'film can'. (but it does have its maker's name on it...?) It also has about zero relation to anything else in my kitchen, other than that I think it makes a quirky addition to all the rest of my junk (incl. the other advertising tins, plus) on the shelf. ;-) :-)
Measuring about 10-1/2" across and 1-3/4" deep, its lid is embossed with the legend "THIS CAN MADE IN U.S.A. BY EASTMAN KODAK CO. It was recovered ~20yrs ago while I was helping clean out an estate, found in a boxful of otherwise much more typical (and much less interesting) 'holiday decorated' (fruitcake?) tins, none of which I bothered to keep. This one, in fact, might have last served duty holding somebody's x-mas cookies or something, since the only thing remaining in it is a circle of waxed paper now with a sorta weird pattern of brownish spots on it...I have no idea whether that is something left over from 'holding movie film' or 'holding chocolate goodies'....?
