Need some idea what type, use, and age of this knife is. No marking that I can find seems old and well made with steel running through handle. 10 1/4 inches long.

    Unsolved Mystery

Probably home made or blacksmith made. Do not think you will be able to find much info without markings. Does look like a good vintage knife.

To me, with th 3 pin scales spacing, and the single curved fancy guard, it looks factory made. If you have no markings, you need to do the ever long photo lineup matching. If i owned it, it would go into my fishing tackle box. Good Luck!

Agree with lzenglish. Start with butcher's knives.
