A Fritz Heckert, Otto Thamm designed, vase c. 1901; 16 cm tall, 13 cm wide with a well polished pontil. It comprises clear glass with rose-red crumb melts and fused silver-yellow bands. There are also four thumb-print indentations on the sides. I love the totally different effect you get depending on whether the light is shining onto the vase (first photo), or is behind it (second pic). Enjoy.

Bambus, i have the exactly same one in my Heckert colletion, part of the very first piece acquire from Heckert, i didn't know at that time how addicted i will come to this glass house, today i have a very good ideal about it, lovely shape and color, i discover that the other color in this shape are out there, but very scarce.

Thanks Alain; unfortunately there is no example of this shape in another colour on display at Passau. To find one would be serendipitous indeed !
