This one doesn't currently live on the kitchen shelf (though it might end up there eventually?) so I won't count it in with the others already shown recently. This tin still holds its original roll of SCOTCH ELECTRICAL TAPE #27 [GLASS CLOTH with Thermo-Setting Adhesive] and is just 3" across by 5/8" high, with the classic SCOTCH TAPE tartan design logo on its cover. Inside the lid is information about the particular type of tape, a variety apparently made for usage in high-temperature applications. On its edge (along with a few patent numbers) it reads: "Made in U.S.A. by MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. CO., Saint Paul 6 Minn." That postal code format leads me to believe it dates from the early-mid 1950's.
MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. ....3M :)
