I get such a sense of history when I handle these Early Civil Rights artifacts. From a time even before the movement for equality was labeled "Civil Rights", a 1940's HAMMER & GAVEL used by the Milwaukee Commission On Human Rights.
I found it difficult to find the history of the Milwaukee Commission On Human Rights on either Google or Bing, but my understanding is that this was an early commission designated to work for progress on the equality issue.
Does it still work?
