This photo of an American Soldier was found at a recent Pennsylvania estate sale. He had served in the Korean war, we were told, and
they had his full uniform from the period on sale, but I did not get that.
You can see he is in uniform with sergeant's stripes on his arm.
In the photo you can see American army vehicles in the back ground, and oil drums(?), plus.
I was told the photo was taken in Korea.
Marked on back "2/20/54".
Looks like Korea to me. My father was in the Korean War and he took a lot of slide photos and it pretty much looks like that.
Thank you, fortapache! I expect that you are right.Your father served there? Mine was in the Army Reserves, and was called up for a short time, but did not leave the country then. But he had already left the states for some time in WWll.
Thanks for your comments!
