Last week I was contacted by some schoolmates on Facebook, to be included in a 50th Anniversary of our class graduation 1968-69.
This was very exciting because I had not seen or heard from any of these people for a long long time, you can imagine that you are going back to your grade school years, so six years old, and now we are all seniors, past 65.
The group is trying to identify as many girls as they can and get in touch with them, of course by now after all this time, that is a major challenge.
I wanted to share some of the old photos I kept and still find emotional today. I was boarding in a convent with nuns, a Catholic order of importance in Quebec's colonial history.
1 - Grade 2, Nativity Scene for Christmas, in our dormitory.
2 - Special First Communion Meal, for the only two youngest girls that year 1957.
3 - A playground snap shot of skipping rope, a few years later.
4 - Class photo of our 12-13 year old Solemn Communion, a tradition with much ceremony as grown Christian girls.
These are really sweet pix, looked like some fun times & that's a lovely graduation pic - enjoy the reunion :)
