Bambus1920
(53 items)
A Fritz Heckert (Petersdorf, Silesia) vase/bowl c. 1901 designed by Otto Thamm. It is 16.5 cm (6.5'') high and 24 cm (9.5'') wide at the waist. It comprises clear glass with pink and silver-yellow crumb fusions and combed silver-yellow threads with a matt mother-of-pearl lustre. The pontil is ground out and finely polished and it has four thumb-print indentations below the waist aligned with each corner of the rim.
I cannot precisely identify the form number of this piece in S. Zelasko's Fritz Heckert book. It appears to fit somewhere between form numbers 102 and 104 (page 187) but not close enough for a positive ID. Any help from CW members much appreciated. Enjoy.
Bambus, good news, the Heckert bowl is Th 104. Very good piece. One of the rarer Changeant versions.

Alan
