Rare French industrial desk lamp from the 1950s. Likely, you may have never seen one if you’re not familiar with French industrial design. But it is well known in Europe. This is, without a doubt the holy Grail of industrial table lamps, in my not so humble opinion. Forgive me, OC white fans the Jielde design makes yours look like child’s play. Please forgive the disrespect, but take for example that you see no visible cord running up the table arms… Because there are none. Internally the pipe and articulating joint conduct the electricity! Is that not amazing? All metal construction with a pull handle because the shade gets very hot. Mine has the optional Fresno lense.
This one is a one arm, but they can have up to six arms (with aheight of about 7 or 8 feet) The base is a vintage water main, as these did not come with the base as they were directly mounted to an industrial workbench. I’m working on acquiring a couple more…
