These 70s era depictions of now closed Leo Matus Newsstand in Wilkes-Barre, PA recall a more prosperous time for print. Leo's also did a good business selling tobacco, candy, and his returns on the coin operated games.
Nice nostalgia, miss those local shops
Thank you, Thomas...I often read the printed newspaper myself...it seems so much more open to interpretation, than does receiving info from electronic sources.
Merry Christmas, my friend!
Thank you, Buss, ejw, and jenny for your loves of this scene....!
Hi, v-50...thanks for the love!!
Yes, Jenni...I miss those cool, old shops, also! I used to work in that newsstand, it was fun, and an education itself! Leo Matus's newsstand was a page out of a Damon Runyon short story!
Thank you, everyone, I appreciate the loves!!!!
