This 1 1-2" pink rhinestone pig brooch has one black eye, with curly goldtone tail & setting, marked Trifari 1997 on back. Next to a 4 1-2"H x 3 3-4"W vintage pink and cream ceramic pig from the 1940s-50s by Rempel Diamond of San Diego CA in the image of the cartoon character Porky Pig, their pig was named Chubbie.
Pink pigs mean prosperity in the New Year, and on Feb 5th the 2019 Chinese New Year is the year of the pig
Jenni I can't comment on this I'm laughing too much! Cute! :^)
Love the little pink pig brooch :-)
Awwwww! So adorable! Happy New Year, Jenni!
Lovely- the ceramic pig looks like,...is it Porky from the Looney Tunes?! There';s something slightly mischievous looking in his expression too. The brooch is so nice too with it's little rhinestone gems and really long curly tail!
Thanks Lauren for the great comment & love, yes it's modeled after Porky Pig, that little Looney Tunes troublemaker! Really glad you liked the rhinestone pig as well, I thought they were complementary New Year's porkers :)
Cute little piggies Jenni!! Happy New Year!!!
Thanks Scott for the great comment, a very happy and healthy New Year to you and yours
Very kind of you aura, the love is greatly appreciated
Thank you jbingham for the love and appreciation, glad you enjoyed my pink new year pig duo
Hi, Jenni.... I am just going through some of your previous posts. I really like these two pigs!! I have always been a big lover of ceramics and this pig is just adorable. Typically, I am not a big fan of jewelry, but I really like the brooch as well. I can't decide which pig is my favorite. Thanks, for sharing these two cuties!!
