A lot of torque. If a large drill bit binds in something while you're drilling, it'll take you for a ride!

OH YEAH -- that thing could *definitely* put the hurt on 'ya if it bound up or otherwise tried to get away while in use?!! And 220 volts, too?! <wow>

I'm guessing the small lever near the end of its aluminum handle is the power switch, but what's the 4-spoked 'handle' on its end for??

I agree it is way cool -- welcome to CW, and thanks for showing it!!

Outside Machinists at the Quincy Shipyard used those drills!!! they would attach a bar on the top that they would lean on it to bore large holes. It was called a DEADMAN!! as you just use your body weight to drill!! Toyrebel is right!!!I used a smaller one years ago drilling over my head on a ladder when it jammed and spun me off the ladder. Nothing Broke put gave me a lot of respect for those drills!!!

I broke a finger when I couldn't release a bound smaller one in the 90's in time. It eas quick! Could have been my wrist, when they grab, the torgue is INSTANTLY transfered to what you're holding. I had never had much experience with them, I learned to give them respect and distance from my body.
