"VALVES - FITTINGS - PIPE AND FABRICATED PIPING" that is -- the kinda large-scale "plumbing" typically found in boiler rooms, factories, power plants, and industrial places like that. Copyright dated 1936 on its title page, this full size (8" x 11") hardbound volume contains over 750 pages, fully illustrated with many black/white photographs and drawings showing the various CRANE CO. products and their features/specifications, also lots of photos showing the CRANE CO. production and warehouse facilities, and photos of 'completed installations' of machinery utilizing CRANE CO. products. (2nd/3rd pics are random pages from within) The last part of the catalog is an extensive 'reference section' giving charts and engineering data specific to the fluid dynamics of water, steam, ammonia, & etc. in such industrial systems. 4th pic shows handwriting inside its covers, a former owner's name and address (w/Memphis TN 'local branch office' label) inside the front, (RH side) and a few inked notes/dates plus a spurious (now empty) manila envelope showing that somebody got a photograph printed (for 25c) at "Lawrence Photo Supply Co." in Wichita, KS. now stuck inside the back. (LH side)

Side note: when I got it, I did a little looking around online and found evidence that 'Mr. former owner' has now apparently passed on to his final reward, may he rest in peace...

I found it a few yrs ago amongst stacks of books at a thrift store, then bought it (for $1 or so probably) once I realized I inadvertently spent the next minute or two standing there just leafing through it enjoying the pictures... <lol>

[EDIT -- I just rearranged photos a bit, to be able to include a 2nd 'typical page' from the middle of the catalog...its insides are *way* more interesting than its covers (now combined in one pic) after all...? :-)]

I worked at New England Steel Tank as a Welder Fabricator back in the 80's after the shipyard closed down!!
The third picture of the guy in the Overalls reminds me of me!!

THANKS very much to: Vynil33rpm, Watchsearcher, yougottahavestuff, Brunswick, fortapache, & iggy for your <love it>s and especially for your comments -- I'm so happy y'all enjoy it too!! Now I'm left wondering if there were 'volumes 1-51' (more?) of the CRANE catalog too...they were an *enormous* manufacturer 'back in the day', so it isn't inconceivable...??
