My purchase from an antique fair today. Ok so its not an antique but I like things that look like they come from the period they come from and this is a nice example of 1960s psychedelic colour and nonsense.
It is a 3 piece cruet or condiment set consisting of Salt, Pepper and Mustard pot, complete with its little spoon. Also nice is that its contained in a little dish to keep it all together. It was made by Lord Nelson Potteries of Staffordshire. The pattern is called 'gay time' which of course had a different meaning back then to what it does now. And it sure is gay.
The seller told me these are being bought by lots of trendy young people now as they like the bright colours and kitsch designs. Although at no point was it implied that she thought I was either young or trendy.
Congrats on being trendy you will soon be a hipster.
HAPPY NEW YEAR !,!,!
Vetraio50, thanks. Happy new year to you too.
Thank you Fort & Keramikos, it is like that Corningware pattern isn't it.
