It's the height of summer here, but this vase has already got me in an autumnal frame of mind.
I was fortunate some time ago to find an example of this rare type of Peloton glass, & this is my second piece, a reasonably priced buy it now.
Made from three layers of cased glass - a rather thick clear layer over brown Peloton threads, over a white interior, the vase measures 19.2 cm tall, 10.7 across the double crimped top rim, & 6.3 cm across the base, which has a polished out pontil mark.
The top rim also has a clear crest.
Bohemian origin.
I like it very much!The peloton pieces look like cinnamon bark pieces or dates.

Many thanks, Bambus1920! I agree, Peloton glass definitely has a confectionery style about it - the pastel type has always reminded me of the sprinkles on cupcakes.
